Tuna and Seaweed Spicy Salad South American Style

Recipe from {EIS} Japanese restaurant owner chef Mr Aoki.

[ Ingredients (serve 1) ]

  • 100g Tuna Sashimi Fillet
  • 20g Chuka Wakame Seaweed Salad
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 5 slices Sour Pickled Chilli or Fresh Chilli
  • dash of Roasted White Sesame Seeds
  • little Leek
  • little Minced Ginger
  • little Lemon Juice
  • 7 drops Tabasco
  • dash of Murray River Salt (if possible)


[ Methods ]

Dice tuna into 5-8mm. Combine tuna, chuka wakame seeweed salad, sou sauce, olive oil, ginger, tabasco, leek, lemon juice and salt in a bowl. Covered and refregirated for 2mins to marinate.

* Tabasco and lemon juice give like south American food 'ceviche' texture and flavour.


Serve and springle chilli and sesame seeds.


Great match with beer!
