A piece of news was delivered to GoGo Melbourne from Japan.

Now, more than ever, is the time to care for Japan and to act for those who are suffering from the aftermath of the earthquake.

Things that we can do as Japanese.

LINK FOR JAPAN

LINK FOR JAPAN is an organisation established in January 2010 by students and working adults in their 20's. It is formed on the basis of "contributing to the society even for just a little bit".
The organisation started off as a study club, and then moved on to holding events in order to promote the idea of "reasonable contribution to society" into Japanese culture. Various activities other than these events have also been scheduled hereafter.

LINK FOR JAPAN's theme of "Reasonable Contribution to Society" has been implemented through the use of three actions.

Charity events were held in seven countries and 15 cities throughout 2011, raising three million yen.
※ Donation is made to authorised NPO corporation for helping refugees (AAR Japan).

By connecting each individual who is related to LINK FOR JAPAN, the organisation connects to its global members through various charity activities.

To stimulate and influence Japan favourably, students and working adults need to come together and mutually respect one another so as to overcome the obstacles in between them.

These actions can be interpreted as "reasonable contribution to society" just by "participating and enjoying the parties." We propose continuous support and care through these different events.

The charity event "Hope for Haiti", held on May 22nd 2010, to support Haiti's reconstruction was very successful, bringing together 230 people and raising 360,000 yen.

Moreover, many people responded after the event, saying that they now understand there are many things that they can do to reasonably contribute to the society. The event was successful in influencing participants' beliefs.

And now:
Charity event, "LINK FOR JAPAN ~ Create changes to the world with the LINK between each individual", is to be held on July 2nd (Saturday) 2011 at Tokyo Vanity Lounge to support the reconstruction of Great East Japan Earthquake aftermath.

This charity event will involve around 1000 people. The event will be broadcasted to places that do not face material time differences between Japan, such as Asia and Australia, through the use of Skype Meeting.
Japan and Melbourne shall be connected on the day, letting over 1000 Japanese know that there are still many people out there in the world who are acting for Japan.

The scale of the event will not be questioned.
It does not matter even if it is at a house party as long as it is an environment that can hold Skype Meeting.
The event will also be broadcasted on http://www.ustream.tv/user/AyanoTDO/crowds?page=1 with the famous Ustreamer Ayano.
We would like to gather as many people as possible to connect with those at the Tokyo venue.

It is a charity event that connects Japan to Melbourne and to the rest of the world.

Please help us in the construction of this relationship.

Please contact us at the following address if you would like to help out, or if you are interested in this event.
