The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is designed to promote mutual understanding between Japan and other nations, foster international exchange at the local level and enhance foreign language education in Japan. Two types of positions are available:
Assistant Language Teacher (ALT)
The ALT’s role is to assist with English language education in Japanese schools.
Co-ordinator for International Relations (CIR)
The CIR’s role is to assist in Japanese Government Offices in international activities.
