The Big Design Market

The Big Design Market is the biggest market of its kind in Australia, bringing together the best of independent Australian and international design over 3 huge days.

The iconic Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne provides a stunning backdrop for fashion and accessories, homewares and textiles, lifestyle and kids' products, stationery and books.

Ikebana with Ikenobo School

Come along for these lessons in the age-old Japanese art form of floral arrangement.  We meet once a month for a truly inspiring class to create a floral work of art.

Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar

Every year on the first weekend of December (7th and 8th 2013) the traditional and very popular Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar is held in the lush gardens surrounding Toorak House. The event has become the highlight of Christmas for many locals with over 10.000 visitors in 2012.

Postcards from Japan for Christmas

Jan Preston shares her experience in textile art in this class for fabric embellishment.  These delightful Japanese inspired postcards are the perfect size sampler to achieve on the day or you may prefer to make them gift tag size to give Christmas presents a more personal touch. Techniques covered include raw edge applique, thread play and more in this class for all levels of experience in hand-stitching.
