On Sunday 10th of February, Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival is coming back with support and assistance from the Consulate-General of Japan.

The Japanese chamber of Commerce & Industry Melbourne and the Japanese Society of Melbourne are planning to give a presentation and exhibition about the Great East Japan Earthquake. The presentation is called “Thank you from JAPAN” to thank everyone for supporting the Japanese people during the tough times.

In the festival, we will show video footage on the large screen. We will also have a booth set up which will have display of the earthquake, Japan’s reconstruction efforts and current issues. This booth will serve as a place, where attendees can interact with people who experienced the earthquake and people who visited the affected areas as volunteers.

We are seeking volunteers to help with this great cause. To find out how you can help, please contact us by Friday 1st of February.
