Mix it with milk and soymilk, or add honey and a little lemon juice with apple juice. You can drink it  as a juice.

Bitter Gourd Steamed Bread (serve 4-6)

[ ingredients ]

• 1 sachet (2g) Bitter Gourd Fruit Powder
• 200g Soft Flour
• 2 tsp Baking Powder
• 1 tbsp Sugar
• 160ml Milk
• Salad Oil

[ methods ]

1. Sift baking powder and soft flour together.
2. Dissolve bitter gourd fruits powder and sugar with milk.
  When the sugar melts while warming it over a low heat, turn off fire and cool it.
3. Pour the milk which dissolved bitter gourd fruits powder and sugar in a ball,
  and mix the sifted powder lightly.
4. Pour the mixture into a mould applied salad oil thinly to eight-tenth, top with currants for preference.
5. Put them in a steamer and steam them over medium heat  for approximately 15 minutes.

* It is good even if use the barley young leaves powder in substitution for the bitter gourd fruits powder.

 

Green Sweet Potatoes  (serve 3-4)

[ ingredients ]

• 300g Sweet Potatoes
• 30g Sugar
• 1 tbsp Butter
• 4 tbsp Fresh Cream
• 100g Currants
• 3 sachets Bitter Gourd Fruits Powder

[ methods ]

1. Slice sweet potatoes into 2cm thick and soak them in water to remove harshness.
2. Boil sweet potato slices until softens, and then throw the hot water.
  Put the pot over the heat again for few minutes to remove the moisture from the sweet potatoes.
3. While sweet potatoes are hot, smash them and mix with sugar, butter, and fresh cream.
    It becomes smooth by smashing while they are hot, and mixing with butter.
4. Add bitter gourd fruits powder and use a tea cloth to form a small bag shape by wrapping and twisting.
5. Bake them until lightly browned in an oven and top with currants.

 

Green Scones of Barley Young Leave and Black Sesame Seeds (Serve 3-4)

[ ingredients ]

200g Soft Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
110ml in total of 1 egg + milk
2 sachets Barley Young Leaves Powder
2 tbsp Black Sesame
20g Margarine or Butter (salted butter is ok)

[ methods ]

1. Preheat an oven to 180 degrees.
2. Combine weak flour, baking powder, a barley young leave and black sesame in a ball.
3. Beat an egg in a measuring cup and add milk to total of 110ml.
4. Melt margarine (or butter) in a microwave.
5. In the flour mixture bowl, add milk mixture and melted margarine, fold in until smooth.
6. Spoonful the mixture to baking tray, and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

 

Green Milk Jam (serve 4)

[ ingredients ]

• 2 sachets (6g) Barley Young Leave Powder
• ½ cup Condensed Milk

[ methods ]

1. Dissolve barley young leave powder with a little water and mix it with condensed milk.
2. Pour over to a pancake or favourite fruits or snow cone.
