mirocomachiko – day of the red moon

mirocomachiko is an artist and author of children’s books. She has exhibited her works in numerous shows and she vigorously draws animals expressing her own freewheeling thinking and a variety of ideas. In 2013, she won the 18th Japan Picture Book Grand Prize with her picture book, “A day when a wolf is flying”. She has published varied books including picture books:“My futon is made of ocean”(Akane Shobo) and“Tetsuzo’s nose”(Bronze Publishing). This is her first solo exhibition abroad.

Girls Only (GO) Festival

The next Girls Only (GO) Festival is on its way, this is the Largest Womens Expo in Melbourne! The GO festival is a celebration of women of all ages. It’s an opportunity to relax and explore what’s new whilst enjoying a day off. Sit back and enjoy the entertainment on our main stage, including  a fashion parade for real women or be enlightened with one of our many interesting speakers / presentations.

One of Australia's leading international arts festivals is back in Melbourne this year too. Unique international and Australian events in the fields of dance, theatre, music, visual arts, multimedia, free and outdoor events will be held over 17 days.

Medibank Melbourne Marathon

The Melbourne marathon that is easy to run through a beginner in a relatively flat course. “The Citizen Runner” Yuki Kawauchi who is one of the most likely to win the race participates as an invitation player while there are many runners coming to participate all the way from Japan.

Armageddon

A slightly maniac event gathering comics, SF and manga. The venue will move to large Melbourne Showgrounds from this year and power it up more and more. As for the luxurious guests such as a movie star or the voice actor.

Spring Fling Street Festival

The Spring Fling Street Festival has been part of the communities of North and West Melbourne for over 35 years. The 2012 Spring Fling Street festival attracted over 15,000 people with 120 stalls and over 100 volunteers assisting to stage the event. The festival aims to strengthen the connectedness of the community and promote a sense of belonging.

Melbourne Craft & Sewing Show

Fresh, vibrant and fun, the Melbourne Craft and Sewing Show is set to transform Caulfield Racecourse into a craft lover's haven. The Melbourne Craft & Sewing Show features a range of crafty how-to activities including; the discovery desk with demonstrations from a wide range of exhibitors and make and take classes, where visitors can create unique projects. There's also plenty of products to try and buy.
