The first Japanese Tea, Yame Tea

Japanese Tea is divided up into more than 100 brands, all with distinct and unique tastes. Today we introduce to you one of the most premium and the first Japanese tea in history, “Yame Tea”.

Yame Tea is harvested in Yame region of Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan. Yame city is known for having an environment well suited for harvesting tea leafs. The warmth during the day and coolness during night creates a broad temperature range, and the rivers surrounding the area, provides great nature to create amino acids which are vital to a great taste in tea. Meaning Yame region is an ideal location for great tea harvesting.

Yame region also ranked 6th overall in the production of Japanese Tea, with approximately 3% of the total shipping in Japan. Premium Japanese Green Tea, known as ‘Gyokuro’ (meaning jade dew) differs from regular Japanese Tea ‘Sencha’ in terms of fineness and quality, and one of the greatest producers of Gyokuro is Yame region. Approximately 45% of Gokyuro is produced in Yame region. The Yame region Gokyuro has also won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize 5 Years in a row from 2005 to 2009. In particular, during 2007 the Yame region brands have dominated the rankings from 1st to 26th.

Harvested in a great natural environment with proved credit, Yame Tea has a great scent and a smooth taste. Today we would like to introduce a great way to improve your Yame Tea experience.

1. Pour boiled water into a teacup and warm the cup. Displace the water after warming the cup.
2. Pour boiled water into the teacup once again.
3. Place tea leafs into a teapot.
4. After the water in the teacup has cooled a bit, pour the teacup water into the teapot slowly.
5. Keep the teapot still and leave for about 50 seconds.
6. Pour the tea into the teacup gently at an even pace.
7. Pour until the last droplet and ready to drink!
8. Enjoy the premium taste.
