To support the Tohoku area, the Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne is hosting a sake seminar on 13th Feb. It is a free event but RSVP is essential, and the deadline for RSVP is actually today — 10th Feb. So hurry up!!

Japanese Sake is a major product of the Tohoku region which has been affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake last March. To help with the reconstruction from the disasters, the Consulate-General of Melbourne is specially organising two events related to sake which may eventually support the affected region.
The Consulate-General of Melbourne will be hosting a meeting for Japanese sake promoters, distributors and retailers in Melbourne on the 13th of February to meet with Mr Keisuke Irie, who is from Japan and promotes sake internationally as Sake-Samurai.
On that day, Mr Irie will explain about the promotion of sake in other parts of the world and the future of the sake business. After the presentation, a discussion about the current situation of sake in Melbourne will take place.
